Hello, students and welcome to Nursing Class! This Wiki houses several classes notes and discussions so please pay attention to where you go and where you post! This is a great little taste of informatics experience which is ever increasing in the medical field and can prove useful later. GTC Students: GTC students have five pages in all. Each time you open a page to read another will appear in the side bar to the left. Be sure and review and read all pages and PowerPoints. You do not have to complete a care plan for this rotation but participation at this site is required. It is expected that the student will come to the first day of clinic prepared! New CPM Employees: Please read all the GTC pages. This will provide you with a great introduction to the clinic! Welcome! Informatics Class: First let me show you around in case you have never visited a Wiki before. Under the name of this wiki, Nursing Class, is a navigation bar with the words home, discussions, photos, videos, news, updates and members. You will find weekly expectations and notes from your instructor located here on the home page. You will find required videos under the video tab and the collections tab. Each week will have a separate collection to be viewed, i.e. week 1 collection, week 2 collection, etc. All you must do is click on these tabs. Each week in response to the textbook readings, videos, and posted assignments, you will need to post a response on the discussion page. These will also be titled discussion for week 1, discussion for week 2, etc. These discussions should reflect upon what you have learned, questions which have occurred, as well as, ideas you would like to share with the class. To the left of this post you will see other pages, home, syllabus, helpful sites and resources, and week 1 assignments. Each week a new assignment will appear. The last tab is a reference page for the resources sited and utilized in this course. Later, team pages will be posted for the activity you and your group choose to present to the class. Remember Internet etiquette! Do not take what is not yours with out crediting the author. This includes pictures, poems, words, sayings, videos, etc. This is plagiarism and theft. |
